The 58th national convention held in CAP-John Hay Trade and Cultural Center, Baguio City, served as the venue for the awarding of the winners of this year’s search . A total of twelve entries were received by the AGIA coming from the NGA, GOCC, LGU and SUC sectors, and were judged based on the overall contribution to Agency operations (45%), relevance/significance in internal auditing (30%), and sustainability (25%) of the innovation and/or best practice.
The winners, who each received a Plaque of Recognition and a cash award of PhP10,000.00, are the Civil Service Commission (NGA), the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (GOCC/GFI), and the Provincial Government of Camarines Sur (LGU). All other participants to the search were given Certificates of Participation, among them are the AFP- Office of the Internal Auditor, Dept. of Environment and Natural Resources, Philippine Fisheries Development Authority, LGU- General Santos City, LGU-Tuguegarao City, Land Bank of the Philippines, Mariano Marcos Memorial Hospital and Medical Center, Tarlac State University, LGU-Muntinlupa City and PGO-Davao del Norte.
The Search is a continuing AGIA intervention of recognizing Agencies’ efforts of introducing innovations and best practices in internal auditing, geared towards improving how work is done and contributing to the achievement of objectives.
